By manually turning off and on the monitor the problem disappeared &#8211; for the session. However this cannot be a good solution.<\/p>\n<p>I do not seem to be the only one with this issue:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a

My solution looks like this:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Download\u00a0<a
title=\"MultiRes Download\" href=\"http:\/\/www.entechtaiwan.com\/util\/multires.shtm\" target=\"_blank\">MultiRes<\/a>\u00a0and install it<\/li>\n<li>Start &#8222;cmd&#8220; and find out the 8-character alias of &#8222;Program Files&#8220; resp. &#8222;Program Files (x86)&#8220; by executing\u00a0&#8222;dir \/on \/x&#8220; in the root directory (on my side: &#8222;PROGRA~2&#8220;).<\/li>\n<li>Start \u2192 All Programs \u2192 right click on &#8222;Startup Programs&#8220; \u2192 &#8222;Open&#8220;<\/li>\n<li>Copy &#8222;<a
href=\"http:\/\/www.lostmind.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/multires.zip\">multires.bat<\/a>&#8220; into the new open window. The file does not (!) need administrator rights.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Hints:<\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>taskkill.exe is a part of Windows XP\/Vista\/7<\/li>\n<li>&#8222;ping -n 4&#8220; .. creats a 4-second break (there is no sleep-command in Windows!)<\/li>\n<li>&#8222;start&#8220; .. starts a program in the background and continues processing the batch-file<\/li>\n<li>&#8222;taskkill&#8220; because multires.exe stays active after starting it and we need to close it to start it again with different parameters \ud83d\ude41<\/li>\n<li>where applicable the waittime should be adjusted, because we cannot set the order of the startup programs in Windows<\/li>\n<li>max. resolution of the Dell IN2010N\/IN2010NB is 1600&#215;900 (16:9)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As always:\u00a0comments are welcome.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following problems occured with two monitors from different shipments of the type\u00a0&#8222;Dell IN2010N \/ IN2010NB&#8220;: after a cold start of the PC into Windows (no matter if Vista \/ 7) the correct resolution (1600&#215;900) was selected, but the whole &hellip; <a
